I have always known I have wanted to be a lawyer, for as long as I can remember. I didn't know it would be property specifically, as I sort of fell into that and never left, but I always had a clear career path mapped out. I grew up locally in Poole and didn't stray far for University, graduating Bournemouth with a 2:1 in my LLB in 2014. I continued my post degree studying selecting the CILEx route to better fit in my work life. I qualified as a Chartered Legal Executive in 2019 with a toddler at home and my second daughter in my tummy.

I spent a total of 12 years working in local law firms learning the 'tricks of the trade' and building my knowledge and resilience. Conveyancing can be a tough gig, you are working at a fast pace with people at what can be the most stressful time of their life. That takes some getting used to. Thankfully I am now 1000s of moves in and there isn't much I haven't seen.

I stepped out traditional employment in 2025 and 'Katie Wilson Conveyancing' was born. This allowed me to do things my way, how I believe is the right way. I can streamline my service so clients get the best of me. I am a self employed consultant now with a local law firm, Chester & Co. Chester & Co handle the admin in the background, taking the headache out of the everyday.

The bit I love most about my job is genuinely the people, as cliche as that is. I love surprising people with good service. Lawyers tend to have a bad rap as being stuffy know-it-alls who sit behind a desk and charge just to answer the phone. That couldn't be further from the truth for me. I thrive on doing a good job. The proof is in my reviews.

My home life looks busy! I am a wife, mum to two daughters, friend, sister... When I am not working I am usually running around on a school run or sewing on some Brownie badges.
